Photoshop and Animals Hybrid

18 Jul

Hi guys! I created those pictures with Photoshop just for fun. It was an idea coming from a friend of mine…

They represent hybrids : the first one is The Girapel, a mix between a giraffe and a pelican!

The second one is a mix between a dog and a gorilla! I called it The Gordog!

The art of mini origami

25 May

Japan, 17th century, the traditional art of paper folding was born. Origami from ori meaning “folding”, and kami meaning “paper” is the art of transforming a simple flat sheet into a paper sculpture without cutting or using glue.

The traditional origami paper “washi” offers multiple patterns and colorful designs. Despite the fact that it weighs less than any normal paper, “washi” is a really resistant paper commonly made from fibres of the gampi tree or using bamboo, rice or wheat.

Origami’s sizes are not specific and I wanted to share with you the stunning art of two artists Anja Markiewicz and
Mui-Ling Teh. They have the ability to create tiny, mini, nano origami artworks of only some millimeters.

Anja Markiewicz ‘s paper sculptures correspond to animals (horses, dogs…), flowers, snowflakes… To be perfectly seen, you need to use a magnifying glass or nan0 photography.

Mui-Ling Teh also creates miniature origami and tries to tell a story using them.

So this is it for today! I hope you enjoyed those tiny origami! Next time I’ll try to create my own jewelery origami and share it with you! See you soon!
